Baie d’Urfé

Baie d’Urfé is located close to the western end of Montreal Island, along the northern shore of Lake St. Louis. Its residential zone lies between Highway 20 and Lakeshore Road and includes close to 4000 inhabitants.
Baie d’Urfé is distinguished by its individual houses surrounded by large lots. It has maintained a country charm, underlined by roads without sidewalks and limited commercial activities. It is a favorite spot of boaters who use the nearby docks.
Citizens have at their disposal four baseball fields and five soccer fields. Three of Baie d’Urfé’s parks are worthy of note: Fritz Park, with its bandstand and its access to the lake; Berthold Park, where there is a monument to Jean de la Londe, Baie d’Urfé’s first settler; and Allan’s Hill, with its slope which is a joy to toboggan-lovers and young skiers.
In addition to two public elementary schools, Baie d’Urfé is home to Alexander von Humboldt Schule, which offers education in German and which is much appreciated by the community. The town has many beautiful homes along Lake St. Louis.
The exceptionally high quality of life which you will find in this community derives from a long-standing tradition of responsible local government and citizen participation. The town’s healthy financial situation, its efforts to reduce the burden on tax-payers, and the increasing value of residential property make Baie d’Urfé’s homes a sound investment.
